On the front, a parchment title plate framed in oxblood and gold sits above a small island, a whirlpool, a little sailboat and a compass rose. Turn it over and the back shows a larger island with mountains, a lake, woods and harbor towns, the chart's Tidewhistle Isles title and a bad-tempered kraken who would prefer you didn't wave. Along the spine runs open water in sea-glass teal, crossed by faint rhumb lines, and every place name is our own invention.
The journal has a matte cover and 150 lined pages, about 5.75 x 8 inches. It's a lovely gift for fantasy writers, worldbuilders and travelers.
