Monthly Household Budget Excel Template

A household budget works best when it takes minutes, not evenings. With this monthly budget spreadsheet you enter income and spending once and tick off bills as you pay them; the dashboard, the month-by-month budget, your savings goals and a debt payoff plan are all built from those entries.

Pick any month on the dashboard to see what came in, what you planned, what you spent and what's left, with charts and a list of bills due in the next 14 days. Over-budget cells turn red, each of 30 recurring bills gets a Yes cell per month and a due-soon or overdue status, and the debt tab gives both a snowball and an avalanche order for up to 10 debts. A paycheck planner shows what each paycheck has left once its bills are assigned.

Set your own currency and 25 spending categories with their budgets, then reuse it next year by changing the year on Settings. You get a blank workbook, a sample with a fictional household's year and a quick-start guide, for Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer on Windows and Mac.
