Type a book in once, and the rest of your reading year takes care of itself. This reading tracker spreadsheet turns a simple book log into a dashboard, a yearly reading challenge and a year wrap-up, with no busywork and no subscription.

Log print books, ebooks and audiobooks with pages or listening hours, rate them in half stars, add an optional spice level and keep a favorite quote from each. The TBR list suggests your next five reads by priority, the series tracker counts what you've read and which number comes next, and the challenge tab tells you whether you're ahead of your yearly goal or behind it, with 52 squares that color in one book at a time.

When December comes, the wrap-up names your longest book, your highest-rated read, favorite genre, most-read author and busiest month. You get a blank workbook, a sample filled with a fictional reading year and a quick-start guide. It needs Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer on Windows, or 2011 or newer on Mac.
